on a 3yr deal so he can play this season I dont see why not. It's basically the kucherov bridge deal, but cap % adjusted for today. It doesn't look like a long term deal is happening in any case. Probably bridge or he doesn't play this year.

I'm thinking if he goes 2-3 years he's going to want at least 6. Deals like Kucherovs are dead. 2 year bridge deals will be tops, possibly only 1 year deals. No one wants to get locked in past their 24th bday unless they get a big deal. I think Kap's contract will be a 1 year deal as well but we'll see how he plays once Nylander is back.

I agree a bridge is most likely at this point. You can't look at Kucherov though, no state tax, lower country tax as well. Plus Kucherov was the young guy with established vets. I have a feeling it will be a 2-3 year deal north of $6M
