you dont get multiple high end assets for a Rental. You will get something similar to what Evander Kane was traded for at the deadline. Conditional draft picks and a mid level prospect, not better pieces than what Erik Karlsson was traded for for a full season in what you are asking from the Avs. Ranger fans are just as bad as Pens fans on this site

This return is 2 mid 6 prospects and a late first. Look what Statsny, Hanzal, and other lesser centers have brought in recent years.

Stastny is better than Hayes, so you need to realize that right off the start and he was traded for a late 1st and a good forward prospect, which this was done in division while the Blues were still in the playoff hunt. They sold him off to a team who was going all in for the cup

You are not goign to get a better return than Stastny to a team that is not going all in to win this year like the Avs. Hayes is a lesser player than Stastny, the fact you made that statement that he was the superior C....further proves your ignorance to the rest of the league . Avs are not goign to trade half of the pieces of what they got for Duchene for 2 months of Hayes. Honestly give your head a shake
