Description
also a little tidbit Faksa + Ritchie have combined for 19 points this season. Maatta has 10 points just by himself, simon has 13 points . all right dallas fans give me hell for trying to steal faksa
Trades
PIT
  1. Faksa, Radek
  2. Ritchie, Brett
Additional Details:
didn't have ritchie in the deal originally but i figure he could be seen as a cap dump going back to pit, but again i'm not sure how much dallas values ritchie or what role he plays for them
DAL
  1. Määttä, Olli
  2. Simon, Dominik
Additional Details:
i know dallas fans love faksa but top 4 d man > Bottom 6 forward be a little reasonable with me here. Methot is on IR and is gone at the end of the season, Maatta is on a good contract, & is still 24 , a defensive minded d man who would be a perfect compliment to pair with Klingberg. simon's best asset is his passing, but he has skill and can score more than ritchie or faksa if given the chance

I like the deal but I think Dallas declines. Faksa is a nice 3C to have. He's fast, good on the puck. While I think the value is there I'm not sure Dallas wants to take on Maatta for him. Not only due to the cap hit difference but Maatta has kind of peeked. You all ready know that is about all you are going to get out of him. Faksa looks to have more in the tank.

i wouldn't say maatta has peaked just yet, he's battled injuries early on in his career which has slowed his development majorly. either way both are still just 24 Years young. i'd bet both have yet to reach their peak
