Description
You could also trade out the Duchene signing for Stone at the same price. Either or would be good.

The trades would all be completed at the draft and would give the Devil's the necessary cap space to make their FA signings and give them enough cap space to resign Hallsy, Nico, Bratt, Anderson, Blackwood, and Vatanen the following year and still have some cap space, provided none of those players ask for higher than their respective market values.

The trades all give the receiving teams a positional piece that they need.
Philly gets a goalie who is stellar when on his game and has a history of hip injuries but they only have to give up a couple picks in separate years to get him.
Calgary gets an excellent 3rd line center who can defend against the opposing teams top lines, is great on the penalty kill and still chip in a goal every now and then.
The Oilers get a proven leader on the blueline in Greene and they only have him for contract for another year, so if it doesn't work out, then can cut ties with him no problem. I understand that this trade is the least likely to happen, but I don't think Edmonton loses out on much to try it.

i dont see any of the 3 big FA going to jersey. Panarin already has about 5-6 spots and nyr and chicago are his top 2. Karlson if he doesnt sign with sj is favorited to go to nyr or another team that has the cap for him and is playoff bound and duchene will be after money and playoff contention which nj has one but not the other.

All three of these guys have NTCs.
All three have young families.

Schneider maybe to Philly. Does Shero want to be the guy who gave Philthy the piece they have eluded since Pelle Lindbergh?
Zajac to Winnipeg is the only way I see him waiving, his wife and him are HS sweethearts. Do the Jets need him? Probably not.
Andy Greene would waive for Detroit (bc its home) and only contenders: TBL, Caps, NSH, Winny but I would bet not too far.
These could be our 3 retained contracts if we were to be able to pull it off!

Jersey is a great place to raise kids, schools are good and that will count for something with these guys.
The ideas are good just not too sure the reality is.

I don't disagree with you. I believe Panarin goes back to Chicago and Karlsson either stays in SJ or heads over to Tampa if they dump some players for cap space. I also think that Duchene chases the money and cup aspirations all the way to Vegas. But there is always hope!

I know they all have NTCs and young families, and that New Jersey is a great place to raise a family. I do think Schneider would waive his NTC to go to a place where he gets to be the only #1 again. And you could switch out the Oilers with whatever team you feel like Greene would fit into. I just put them up their because they were the first team I thought of that has issues on the back end. But I could see any of those teams paying the same price to get him. I agree that Zajac would be the hardest to get to move. Winnipeg would be his #1 but I think that Calgary could be his distant #2. I could see the Oilers making a play for Zajac as well, just to have a legit 3rd line center so they could move Nuge permanently up to McDavid's wing. However, I believe that Shero could sell each of these players on waiving their NTCs so that they could go on to better things for their careers.

Again, this is just what I want to happen, but I know that it is unlikely that any, if not all, of it would happen. But you can't fault a Devil's fan for dreaming!

Imagine Hall coming back to a team with those guys gone?
