Description
These deals come at or just before the deadline. Add a more solid third line center (Schenn) and second line power play guy for Schultz. Send Maata and Brassard for Pesce. I think both deals are reasonable and do actually help both teams.
Trades
1.
STL
  1. Schultz, Justin
Additional Details:
Straight up trade...maybe throw in draft picks on either side to even out. Blues could use another Right handed D. We could stand to get better at Center on the third line.
Next deal swaps Brassard.
2.
PIT
  1. Pesce, Brett
Additional Details:
Adds a better (IMO) right handed D-man to the Pens instead of Schultz for longer and at a lower salary. This deal also is a net gain in salary cap room for the Pens. Could probably add a draft pick on either side for making all things equal.
CAR
  1. Brassard, Derick
  2. Määttä, Olli
Additional Details:
Sends the canes a young left handed D-man signed long term and a good experienced centerman that could help their team.

I think we’re good at RHD unless Parayko or Pietrangelo is traded. I think I the zblues would want your 1st and maybe someone like Hallander.

You won't get any better results brining in Schenn .
He's not even worth the salary at 3C and sure as hell not worth giving up a 1st and Hallander for.

His 5v5 stats 7 goals 10 assists. Brass 7 goals 4 assists.
Schenn gets 59.0% of his 5v5 starts in the offensive zone. Brass gets 59.5% of his starts in the DEFENSIVE zone.

You would trade a guy away, who plays in the defensive zone and is scoring just as many goals as a player who gets majority of starts in the offensive zone.
You must be kidding me. What happens when he has to play with people who aren't top line talent?
What happens when that ice time is cut?
He also turns the puck over more.

At best it's a sideways move that you pay more on the cap hit, and lose a good prospect and a 1st for.
It's a total waste. I'd rather play Brassard, because if Brass was in his spot, he'd have played much better than Schenn has in it.
