Description
BOS, CGY, CAR, PIT, WSH, and WPG trades all happen at TDL.

ANA and LAK trades happen at draft.

Shiesty Shero steals back Boyle and MoJo on July 1st from Boston and Washington respectively.

Devil's get a HUGE upgrade on defense and sign an extremely solid 3rd line in FA. These upgrades should give the Devil's a nice upgrade for secondary scoring with Bura and Mojo back together.

Cap space shouldn't be an issue if the cap increases steadily by $3mil/season, and if Shero can get some players to sign a bit below their value when their contracts are up (Vatanen @ $6.25mil/yr, Lindholm @ $8mil/yr, Hamilton @ $8.25mil/yr, and Palms @ $7.75mil/yr).

No chance Anaheim accepts the Lindholm deal.
The Dzingel and Silfverberg contracts are much too cheap. Think 4.75-5.75 AAV for both of them.
Doubt Carolina would take the Hamilton deal.
Zajac is very important to the Devils don't trade him.
3 years for Eric Staal is a little risky I think.

The Washington deal is fair IMO.

I don't think Staal for $10.5/3yrs is that bad. Quite short term, and pretty decent upside, even if he only scores 40+ pts.

I love Zajac, but his cap hit is heavy and long for essentially the same player that Eric Staal is, but with less pt production.

I think that Carolina trade is pretty fair for both teams. Carolina gets a better 1st round pick and an extremely fast winger who can finish, plus a decent prospect.

I agree that Dzingel will probable get about 4.75-5.75 AAv, but not Silfverberg. Yes he is great defensively, but no one pays more than 4 AAV for a non-scoring winger.

What would you change to that Anaheim trade, because I think it's pretty good as is. Mueller, Bastian, and Anderson are all NHL ready and Sissons isn't far out. Zacha is a gamble, but the dude is lights out on the PK (top 10 of all players since he was drafted). Plus some great picks, I think it's pretty fair.

What if the Devil's tossed Butcher into the deal for Lindholm?

I think Dzingel and Silfverberg are going to command more. Also, can't see Mojo voluntarily coming back after having 2 down years with us, and definitely not for less money than he's making now. Trade-wise, I can see the Lindholm trade happening if ANA fires Carlyle and commits to a full rebuild. The Greene trade is tough because Pittsburgh is already set with LHD. I can see some Western Conference teams paying more for him given 1.5 mill retention. Lastly, the Zajac trade to Winnipeg can't really happen because of his contract and the number of high end players they need to re-sign coming up. All in all, I like the player choices, but the prices (tradewise and salary wise) probably need a little adjusting.

What about Greene to the Sharks, same package?

And I think that Zajac trade could happen with any team who could use a great defensive center. I just chose the Jets because Zajac is from there and would probably waive his NTC to go there.

And let me adjust the dollars real quickly.

I like Greene to the Sharks because of Deboer. I think they would pay us in prospects instead of picks. For Zajac, I don't think we should trade him because it is unrealistic for us to get both Johansson and Staal for that cheap.
