Sign JVR

Description
I don't love having the young guys as the extra skaters but this is more about what it would look like if they signed JVR. That is a very impressive forward group. This is a very solid team that could do some damage if they stay healthy. Thoughts??

If your comparing him to people like backes or beleskey or krejci you are wrong:
      Backes- 33 years old-16/17 season: 38 points 74 gp $6 million
      Beleskey- 29 years old- 16/17 season: 8 points 49 gp $3.8 million
      Krejci- 31 years old- 16/17 season 54 points 82 gp $7.25 million

JVR- 28 years old- 16/17 season (29 goals, 64 points) 17/18 season 13 goals 7 assists in 20 gp playing on a very offensively talented team. So to make 6.25 million when the cap is going up is not overpaid like some of the contracts of the current bruins that you are making comparisons to. And no JVR is NOT slow.

Good response. I saw this on my phone, but didn't feel like responding to it there. Glad to come home and find a similar post that I was going to make. Basically, you're responding to a troll who doesn't have much knowledge in the league or the players.

I don't like how McAvoy and Carlo are RFA's in 1 year and we don't have a substantial amount of cap to sign them to longterm deals. I think for certain that atleast McAvoy will have earned a long deal instead of a bridge deal. I feel like Marchand is the #1 LW and DeBrusk has emerged as a top 6 LW. We really only need to fill the 3rd line spot and we have Vatrano (if he decides to be a big boy and not lose his confidence) or Cehlarik (probably the better option) to fill that spot. We could also keep Spooner and plug him in there. Signing JVR bottom line just doesn't really help at all and Chara is unlikely to take a chicken feed type contract of 2.5M to come back. I know he's old, but thats insulting to pay the team captain so little when he's still so effective. JVR is a good player, but I think we need to figure out the LHD's, not the LW's. I'll take a rotation of Vatrano, Spooner, Cehlarik or Gabrielle at the 3rd LW all day over having to witness McKiller show up (McQuaid and Kevan Miller matched together). They are an incredibly brutal offensive tandem which should be limited to the PK where they can thrive.

I gave you a 3 star because you signed a good player and moved some contracts around which might happen. It just didn't all come together for me because of future cap considerations.
