I would prefer to have an extension in place at the Trade, therefore upping the price but I was just focusing on trade value. Probably add another piece to ensure that extension...

If I could do this trade without skjei than it a 5 star for me, I know hes worth it but still much rather give McDonagh and a better prospect

Ottawa wouldn't take Nash if they are rebuilding unless they can flip him to 3rd team .
Halverson may be a bust, he lost his starting job in the ECHL.
DeAngleo stock is low enough that it won't get a Karlsson like return.
Karlsson would cost NYR - Andersson ,Day, Shestyorkin & 2018 1st round pick or Skjei, Andersson, 2018 or 2019 1st round pick.
And NYR would need to move salary as well to get him in under the cap. Hell with the prospects they are giving up make them take stall & we'll still take 50% of his dollars.
