Underpaid Trouba and Laine

1. just curious as to why you think Trouba is worth more than 6 mill per season? He is a very solid defensemen who puts up 30-35 pts a season.
2. Laine - you may be right. In fact, I hope you are because that means in the next 2 season he will take major leaps in his all-around game. I love Laine and he is a deadly PP sniper and is an excellent passer but at this point there are far too many holes in his game to get paid much more than 8 mill a season.

of course this is just my opinion ...and that is the beauty of Capfriendly~!

No way is Trouba signing for 6x6 to stay in Winnipeg, You want to keep Trouba you're probably looking at $7+ million easily.

Could see Laine getting closer to $9 million if not higher.

Laine could be looking at a hefty pay day, possibly upwards of 10 mil while Trouba will get 7 mil. I wouldn't even be surprised if Wheeler would ask for 8 mil.

Yeah Laine could command around $10 million like Kucherov Trouba probably around $7 million and Wheeler close to $8 million Chevy will be paying some hefty contracts here soon.

Kucherov has more than a ppg and is currently on pace for the art ross and richard trophy Laine has 8 even strength goals this year We would paying laine more than .5M per even strength goal if we paid him 10M.
There is exactly 1 winger in the nhl who makes more than 8M per year and got there without winning an art ross or a hart before signing their contract and laine isn't even in the race in the race why should he get paid like a hart winner/candidate when he can't even crack our top line? He will probably be on a bridge deal similar to kucherov's current deal to give him a chance to prove he can be an elite winger like kane/ovi/kucherov or a 5 year 6.5-7M deal similar to Pastranak/Gaudreau.

Wheeler will be cheaper with term since at the start of next year he will be 32 and on the back end of his career you could probably keep the same contract or lower with a 6-7 year.

Trouba probably won't take anything other than a bridge deal to get to UFA
