Couple thoughts
-This is gonna be Backlund's last big pay day, if he signs for under 6, then I think you can expect a 6-8 year term
-Not a huge fan of the Nolan and Manning signing's. Nolan will struggle to find a PTO and Manning's claim to fame is injuring McDavid although it was a complete fluke.
-Roussel will fetch more in free agency
-Simmonds is a good fit, but he's got a lot of miles on him, I wonder how much high level hockey he has left.
-RFA's, good value on Janko, maybe a bit more for Kulak and bit less than Rittich.
-Since Brouwer is still wearing a letter, I highly doubt he is bought out or even traded as badly as us fans would like to see it. Management and the coaching staff appears to like him.

No offense, but awful trade for the Flyers. We get a middle-six 25 year old winger as a bandaid, and a decent d prospect. We'd need a lot more to be willing to trade Simmonds - he's good for 30 goals on a steal of a contract.
