<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>thats where the discussion would end imo. Winnipeg should take Lindholm if theyre trying to win soon</div></div>
I know you have Lindholm being extended with WPG, but I think the Jets would covet term if they do end up trading Laine.
It's no secret that Winnipeg isn't for everyone, if they can get a Drysdale , they essentially get 7 years of team control.
I also think Winnipeg needs to shoot higher than Lindholm, he's a good player, but Laine could score 60. I need to get something great in return for Laine if I'm Chevy.

Not Screwing Around
I think Perfetti would be the piece CBJ would covet.
They’ve had a rough go lately keeping some very good players. With Perfetti, they essentially get him for the entire beginning of his career.
Laine for PLD is the new Nylander for Hamilton on here. For Columbus, I’m not sure they wanna pay Laine 9 or more after this season

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>Thoughts on Calgary going for him? We have some room after waiving Ryan. And I’d be fine with waiving Lucic to get Perry and Nordstrom flanking Bennett on the 4th line, that would be super annoying to play against.</div></div>
I think it’s certainly worth a shot. If Ryan clears, you have a month where you can flip him between the team and taxi squad. If you were to land Perry, that’s certainly enough time to evaluate whether or not he’s a fit. If he isn’t, then you waive him again.
It would make the team harder to play against, which is something I don’t think you can ever have enough of

I think Perry gets claimed. Although, he's a player in decline.
If he is claimed, I think it will be to a Canadian team that doesn't wanna deal with him 9 or 10 times.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>wtf does Kylington have to do with anything?
As for Ryan he's 34, he's done. They don't have 3 mil to throw around, especially if they want to made a deadline move. I'd rather build that cap space than half ass fix a problem when you know it's not really gonna work.</div></div>
My mistake, I assumed you were mentioning the Flames as a team not interested in winning! Based off today's waiver placements, everyone seems to think Kylington is way better than he is

Ryan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>I don't think it's worth the cap hit.
To be honest seeing the moves they made today I'm not sure they are really serious about winning.</div></div>
Ryan is 3mill bottom 6 player. If he’s claimed great. If not he will be shuttled between the roster and taxi squad for cap savings on off days
Kylington is, at best, a 3rd pairing D. He skates well, but doesn’t do anything else very well and he’s not able to kill penalties.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>masterjuddi</b></div><div>Ive been wondering the same. I’ve thought about that too. Unfortunately, he has a little one with a respiratory issue. This season is more risky than the bubble. Won’t blame him if he sits out.

I would say no.
Reason being, Landeskog has 1 yr left, Lindholm 4.
In a flat cap world, Lindholm at 4.8 makes way more sense than paying Landeskog north of 6. Especially when you factor in that the Flames have almost no quality RHS either on the roster or in the system.

I do think Hanifin wil be traded, just not yet.
If Valimaki is as good as most believe, then I think after this season Hanifin is traded.

The Winterhawks split their time between Moda and the older arena.
I've watched some Stockton Heat highlights over the years and it doesn't look to me like it would be capable of broadcasting an NHL game.

Nice idea, it would come down to the arenas with the best TV setup.
My guess would be the Canadian teams head to their AHL cities, CGY- Stockton, EDM-Bakersfield. But the WHL cities are interesting too.

If The Lottery Manages to Not Be Rigged Again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>If you think Edmonton's a small market I got news for you</div></div>
A tick over 1 million people. Not a big market and they were still in their old arena which was one of the worst in the league.
Arizona and Toronto were in the McDavid derby. If the league rigged the lotto, he's saving hockey in the desert or playing for the Leafs.

Trust me, if the lotto was rigged, McDavid plays for the Leafs.
The league did not want him in EDM, it's such a small market.

It's a little confusing, but it's all about the birth year. The cutoff for each draft is sometime in September.
The best example of this is Auston Matthews, he's a 97 born in mid Sep, because of that he had to be drafted in 2016 instead of 2015 in the McDavid class.
Zary is the same thing he's a late Sep birthday, if he was a month older, he would have been picked in 19, likely a 1st rounder.
It's not too big an issue because Zary has already outgrown the WHL, he will be ready for pro. Where it becomes interesting is the later round picks. The Flames picked Ryan Francis in the 5th round, he too is an 01 born with the option to turn pro. I think it's more likely you see Zary go pro next year and a later round guy like Francis stay in junior.

</div></div>
Zary is a late birthday so he's the same birth year as Pelletier. I think it's very likely he goes to pro next year rather than play his 20yr old season in Kamloops.
