McMann or Holmberg would be better than Glass.

Treliving essentially quit on the Flames ownership.

It's believed that they won't eat money to help him out, unless it's absolutely worth it. This isn't that.

Glass isn't NHL good, he can't displace another on the Leafs. Take him out of the trade and it could be deal both teams like.
I wouldn't give up anymore for Tanev, but some team might. He gets way too much love on CF.

Tanev isn't worth a 1st. Anyone giving a 1st for a 34-year old injury prone D-man must be quite desperate. I don't even want Tanev anymore, I honestly think what we need is a two-way D who can move the puck up the ice and is good enough defensively is exactly what we need, especially in the playoffs to get the offence up and running. We are built in a way that we outscore teams, and a physical DFD isn't solving our problems. . Noah Hanifin would be so perfect, it's just he plays LD. Sean Walker or Alex Carrier would be perfect, or even a Nick Seeler as a Schenn type addition.

I know it isn't necessarily a good analysis, but why do folks think the fourth best Dmen on the non playoffs Flames(Tanev) would be such a difference maker to the Leafs? Leafs and Flames have identical GAA. And even then, some folks think 6m Markstrom would be a good addition to the Leafs.
