I imagine it ends up similar price/value to previous rentals. I am more curious as to specific names, or types of players.

For instance, in Markstrom talks, they want Holtz.

In Toffoli trade, they wanted an NHL player back (not futures or picks). Friedman/Marek had talked about this a while ago…that they believe Conroy may ask for more developed pieces back in some of these returns.

For Hanifin, do they want NHL-ready dman? Prospect center? Boatload of picks?

Maybe Perbix, Lilleberg, Thompson…there is a fair chance they may want a dman back. Have you heard anything about what TBL would offer?

I have seen Holtz tied to Markstrom…hadn’t seen his name liked to Hanifin. But wouldn’t doubt it.

Lundell 1 for 1 for a 50% retained Hanifin would be a win for Calgary

Howard is the only prospect off the table in TB. I think all the picks are fair game and roster players are Perbix, Sheary, Lilliberg, DeHaan, Fleury and Jeannot. I’d be surprised to not see Perbix going the other way if we deal for Hanifin. I’d offer a 2026 1st, a 2nd and Perbix.

(Although I think Holtz, Bahl and pick around 15 is probably closer to Markstrom+Hanifin return).

Hampus lindholm was traded for 1st,2nd,2nd,prospect. And Hanifin is younger. That offer gets beat quite easily

Lindholm was traded with an extension in place. Price goes up for Hanifin if the team trading for him can extend him before the trade is even done.

Maybe. We know Holtz would get Markstrom. Not sure if Bahl plus 1st gets Hanifin. Probably best pick they could get…and if Calgary takes the same approach as Arizonadid with Chychrun (highest pick wins), maybe it works. Otherwise may depend on what they think of Bahl.

Maybe add a mid-pick to cover some of the retention and depth goalie (ie Kallgren, Kinkaid) for roster purposes…

Lindholm deal also included $8m of cap dumpage…so that eats up that 1st or the two 2nds. And Urho was out-of-favor dman in Boston at the time... and a non-tender candidate. So he didn’t have a ton of value.
