Stamkos isn't signing in Toronto. He may not be in TB ,but it won't be Toronto.

I never believe those propaganda we turned this down for a guy to try to boost his sale price garbage. Oldest sales trick in the book.
And Kaprizov had a $10,000,000 KHL offer when the league had a $14,000,000 Cap limit

They aren't. Montreal isn't getting close to a 1 for Josh Anderson you're forgetting the line attached to that one that looks like this 7. Take the 7 if you can get it and consider yourself fortunate.

deadline fix
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Burnout</b></div><div>At first glance:
-I don't really see what the benefit for the Rangers is there. For their roster construction, betting on Chytil makes a lot more sense than spending longterm on Lindholm and they're not getting what they need for giving up all that.
-What's the benefit for Calgary to make the Lightning trade?
-Montreal is definitely not going to be a buyer at the deadline, don't care about Armia's contract and don't care about a soon-to-be 28 year old winger given where they are in their rebuild.</div></div>
Calgary gets a Selke caliber 2c on a nice contract ages 26-33 as opposed to the 33-38 year ages of a piece of crap human being in Kadri. TB on the other hand doesn't consider that. Cirelli is a big part of the next core in TB.

Mid-Season Trade for RHD
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>I am not sure you know who Benning is. A 2nd is an astronomical overpay. He's a 6/7 defenceman</div></div>
I could think of several teams he'd be a 2rd so,I don't necessarily agree with your assessment and he's got this and 2 more year cheap Greer doesn't have to move him. It's going to take a 2 minimum.

You don't consider an almost 40% raise big?

Mid-Season Trade for RHD
Don't see SJ doing that they'll want a quality piece instead of recycled trash. Enough teams need a RD so, someone will cough up a 2 maybe a 1 if desperate enough. A solid RD on a very reasonable price point for this and 2 more years Greer laugh hysterically at this offer

Switching Things Up With New Lines and Power Play Units
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingofRnR</b></div><div>They’re literally the same size. Okay, Chara has a couple of inches in height on him, so what!?
Other than Chara being an Elite Defender, where Zadorov is not, everything else is fairly comparable, especially if Zadorov was given the same Ice-Time and opportunities.
IOW - Zadorov could contribute just as much offensively as Chara given more TOI and Power Play Time
It’s just an idea and strategy. Given how brutal the Flames Power Play has been and the Size, Skill, Strength and Reach Zadorov brings to the table, it would create screening, tipping and scramble opportunities and drive the Goalie and our opponents absolutely nuts</div></div>
Don't think Zadorov has the hockey IQ Charra had or the hands for tip ins

Raising Kane Raising the Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mikearky</b></div><div>Too long for Kane, he was a great player but that contract will not age well.
Yes our goaltending is medicore at best, but it is better tha half the teams in the league and hockey is a 6 man sport not a 1 man sport.</div></div>
How many really good teams have been sunk by mediocre goaltending? A story as old as the NHL itself. This team isn't the 20/21 lightning 16/17 penguins this is a good team not a great one and good teams with mediocre goaltending don't win Cups.
No it isn't I'd put their goaltending around 20-23 range honestly.

The new dream
Seriously if Stamkos were to sign in Toronto would he be able to take his young children to the park or mall or his wife to a restaurant without being besieged with selfie and autograph requests? Or if he's slumping not have A-holes telling him how overpaid he is and how much he sucks? If the answer to those questions are no forget Stamkos signing there.

He did say he was disappointed there weren't talks this off season, however the next sentence he said he's ready to sign today . So, he's probably not going to ask what some on here thinks his open market value is.
