Stamkos isn't leaving Tampa Bay. If by some miracle he does THE LAST PLACE HE ENDS UP IS TORONTO. HE REALIZED 8 YEARS AGO FOR HIM AT LEAST CHILDHOOD DREAMS CAN TURN INTO ADULT NIGHTMARES

He should be a career Bolt, and enter the HOF under 1 jersey.
Doesn’t mean you can’t hope for new journey.</div></div>
I think it'll be around what Killorn signed in Anaheim 4x6.25

Yeah and there was no freaking way Detroit was gonna miss the playoffs with BUF and OTT yet… the improbable often proves to be possible.</div></div>
Dude Stamkos isn't making it to UFA. After the season he and Brisebois sit down and he signs in TB. On a 4-5 year deal @ a lower AAV ensuring he retires the first career long Bolt.

Reloading for next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMDannyB</b></div><div>He’s got two seasons that he would average 20 points in an 82 games season. Other than shooting at an astronomically high shooting percentage in 1 season he quite literally is just a 4th liner. It’s okay to say Tampa got fleeced, they won their cups so who really cares. I wouldn’t mind getting fleeced if the Flyers won a cup. But he’s already 27 it’s not like he’s going to get massively better in his late 20’s early 30’s. He’s not a middle 6 guy he’s a 3rd liner at absolute best but he’s realistically just a guy.</div></div>
Even when he's been playing he's been much less than 100%. If he gets healthy why not ? Alex Killorn had his best 3 seasons at 31,32,33

That conversation between JT and Brad Treliving goes something like this.
GMBT:John got a trade I need to send you to LA.
JT: Go F*** yourself Brad.
Mariners is relatively similar.

He gets healthy he's not "a 4th liner. He's been horribly unlucky with injuries since TB acquired him. Healthy he's a middle 6 guy as I said when he was when he put up 25 for Nashvile. Is he the 21% shooter in Nashville? No. When healthy is he the guy we've seen in TB? No he's somewhere in the middle.

TB isn't remotely interested they're not paying a guy the money Mariner is going to want and not a snowballs chance in Tampa in August they sign Hagel to an 8 year extension he puts up the numbers he does and they trade him before a second of it is played. They also aren't giving up 2 guys locked up long term at about 1.5 mil less than Marner will want . Absolutely assinine asset management and really bad practice to sign a guy long term and ship him to one of the heaviest tax burdened municipalities in the NHL. Nothing says yeah I'll sign a below market deal with you than screwing players over like that.
EDIT: I just did a double check both salaries combined are going to be less than what Marner gets and they have a combined 15 years remaining to 1 of Marner Not A CHANCE !!!

Ahh Utah hires an idiot as GM or Armstrong goes brain dead (if he's retained). No one is giving a 3 for Ceci.
Why does Francis do that? Is Kulak better than what they got? No so why retain 7.5 million and weaken the foward group to add a body that doesn't improve the back end .
Dunn, Oleksiak, Dumoulin on the left

They didn't want to have to run the Florida gauntlet to get to the conference final. They knew it would end in Tampa.

Stamkos isn't signing in Toronto PERIOD FULL STOP!! However he's definitely not going there for that. He literally met with Toronto and came back and signed an offer that had been there 8 months earlier when he realized what a nightmare the childhood dream of playing in Toronto would be. Stamkos is a very private person. He wouldn't get a moments peace in Toronto.

Season Is Over My Award Winners for 2023 2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>Kuch for Hart? Sure, I'd accept that. But...
This is where you completely lose me with your argument. I think you significantly underestimate how good the TB roster is, or perhaps you all just haven't been ass in a long enough time for you to know how bad you'd actually need to be to be at the bottom of the league. Have you seen the rosters of the Sharks and the Blackhawks? If Vasi hadn't been hurt to start the year, you all might even have been pushing for the division title. There is no need to inject complete nonsense arguments into the conversation when you have so many <strong>real</strong> good reasons why Kuch should win the Hart.
Sharks and Hawks fans: apologies for the strays.</div></div>
You clearly didn't watch TB play for the first 2 months of the season if you're making those comments they were awful God awful defensively. Say Kucherov went down early November for 3 months this team isn't sniffing the playoffs seriously they're in the hunt for Celebrini.
This is where your argument is flawed you went by the names on the roster and didn't look at how they played for 2 months.

Kucherov only winger in NHL HISTORY with 100 assists only 5th person to do so in a season Gretzky, Lemieux,Orr, McDavid. Only 4 others to do it. Kucherov had 54 more points than #2 Point @90 . TB without Kucherov is in the Macklin Celebrini sweepstakes.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>forX</b></div><div>You may be right that Anderson is not the best player, but he still be an good asset for 2.75mil. And with a 50% retained, they can ship him somewhere else with a small retained of there part.
1. we know for sure that the contract will be a minimum of 8.5 for minimum 7years, so the theorical save is 5.75 to 7m.
2. I agree that Reinhart can be an huberdeau 2.0 and thats why florida need to get the best (and fast) deal for the trade right.
if I want to do that on my thread, I should add in the additionnal detail that Reinhart agree to those term?
