Description

Were in a good place in the standings but are definetly not strong enough to be defenite contenders. Make some small improvements to give us a better chance while also still trying to set up for a true cup run next year. I'm hesitant to put Kreids on LTIR because I'm still hopeful hell be back this season. If he's done for the year that obviously changes things.

If Lettieri plays well, there really is no room for him and he definitely has value as a upcoming ufa and bottom six forward who is capable of sliding up.

I have a hard time seeing hawks making the playoffs in such a highly congested division (they would be fortunate to get a AC spot tbh) So they'll probably look to move Franson, much like Davy he's a depth guy who can slot up when needed...

I can see both happening and Id love a smith franson pair

As much i'd like to not see Desharnais on the PP and his 5X5 play is suspect especially along the wall , he's got more points than Rick Nash. He's good in the FO circle & is not a bad bottom 6 option at all.
Franson is a right handed version of Holden for all intents & purposes & if McDonagh is comfortable with Holden as his partner, i don't see that changing , its not like Franson would be bringing a wealth of playoff experience or a championship pedigree.
Chytil can get 7 more games in before he burns a year on his ELC. That may happen but unless he's piling up goals in those 7 games, i don't see him as a viable option for a playoff run. Plus our coach doesn't have a lot of faith in unproven players.
i don't think Letteri plays ahead of Nieves & Carey but i like the kids game & he should first up if someone else goes down.
