honestly had you given up a LD for a LD or kept Benn who's back hand is strong enough to play his off hand without
having to pinch against the boards to stop the puck losing momentum and position . if you had moved out Alzner or Schlemko over Petry or Benn
we'd actually be a better possession team overall with prospect depth MTL hasnt seen since 2008 and picks to boot

its unpopular but you got the Center we need , awsome prospects in deals that work for all involved without giving up our youth core outside shaw wo hurt to lose but
the return we get warrants the sacrifice .i'm sure a lot of people will cry if it happened but if you kept Benn or Petry i think we'd be a better team overall as those two not
Alzner or Schlemko stepped up when injuries to Weber strained our D

for the end result making us a better team especially at Center with depth and solid possession players like Roy and Jenner
i can say the sting of losing good pieces will fade in time

On a talent basis, the deals are fair. Unless Jack Johnson is interested in signing in Montreal, that deal should be tossed. And, once you give up on McCarron as a centreman, why not keep him? He is a good player. He's just not quick enough to play the Habs "system" that requires him to play the full 200 feet. As a winger who covers the points and then goes to the net on offence, he's more than fast enough. It's the Habs rigid system that is killing this guy.

Interesting though on McCarron i think ur right the guy would make a Reaves kinda career playing west while in Mtl 1st rounder is such a tough assignment
i hope the best for him such a good kid .
