Both players aren't needed by the Islanders and last night proved it. Islanders need a defense and a 3C. Would rather move those assets for a top 4 D.

Isles could use Lehner, but not Kane. Even so, the asking price for Lehner is like a second and a low level prospect, and for Kane it’s a prospect, a first and a conditional. That trade doesn’t even remotely symbolize those asking prices

Halak is not a "cap dump" as his contract is expiring. Take back Greiss instead and that's a deal
