With the cap going up you have to think that McAvoy gets more then that, especially if he keeps up the pace he's going at now.

Well I think the bruins are overachieving not to say that mcavoy is, but hes at about .5 ppg so he shouldnt get THAT much plus 6.25 is still a lot

I am a B's fan... don't let the avatar fool you. Carlo is not worth 5. He has top 4 potential but he's bottom pairing right now. (as you were he's top 4 as long as McAvoy is out) I'm still waiting for his potential to turn into a reality...

Brandon Carlo isn't getting 5M unless he starts putting up points on top of the defense. Not a chance he gets more than 4M to be honest. He'll be the player the Bruins get some value on. I see him coming in between 3.25-4M max. McAvoy will definitely get 7+ million if he continues on this pace of development. The LA/BOS trade makes no sense to me. Mantha trade is good/bad. It's good for Boston because they're getting a young winger who is a good scorer and has size, but I see Bjork having similar potential and on top of him, you're offering a good prospect with big upside in Senyshyn and Lauzon. If 2/3 reach their potential, this deal could end up being ugly.

That's a great example of just looking at how many points someone has, and not looking deeper and looking through advanced stats
