Salary cap should be closer to $82 million and Tavares will get closer to $12 million per.

the question marks above shows me that this is probably a tryout for this person we do not need to overreact you know wink !

@Hockey582 have you checkout the faq section to have an idea on player,s contract? This would help you to understand the basic of contract situation.

As it been mentioned by @Larkinisking the next level of cap woul be around 80 million dollars and many think that Tavares will get Toews/Kane contract alike.

Tavy i guess should be at 10.5M
Who is someone good that i maybe cud tade Danault for?

Pleky will surely ask for the same contract amount. I do not think that we should but we don't have many possibilities unless JT make a statement about the Habs. Pleky is valued at 4 or 4.5 by many people because he is old and not going to take a hit for the team. But when you are offering or checking for contract talk you need to understand the depth chart of the team, check the stats that are been compare to the player type you to deal with. So is there any old 2 way soft center at 6 million or is that a lesser amount. You also have to figure out if the previous deal were «friendly» deal from the player. So fo me Plekanec can ask for 6 or 6.25 but I won,t accept more than 4 for another year (yeah only a 1yr deal) ...

Tavares will ask for a 8year deal between Stamkos and Toews money if he stays with Islanders but on open market will ask for a 12 or more contract.

For Danault I don,t think we shall trade our only young nhl center playing with the team. And if I were I would try for Jean-Gabriel Pageau from Ottawa Senators

Trade Pleky, don't sign him. Or if you do, $3M is max (and I mean absolute max) you should do for a 35yo one-way 3C.

Also don't trade Danault, as bad as our C depth is, he is the best C of this team and cost controlled on top of that, we can't afford to trade him.
