Admitting the Leafs need a centre next year but Thornton? Second straight year he has had a knee injury, this year a MCL. Just don't think he's the guy.

Due to his age he’s one of the only UFA centers that would likely sign a 1 year deal. I have him down here as the third line center and you have to admit he’s better then anyone within the organization. Plus he brings intangibles and now you don’t have to give anything up to fill the hole down the middle. Low risk high reward
