Maroon/Grabner @ TDL

Created by: Turner33
Team: 2017-18 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 4, 2018
Published: Feb. 4, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Something like this would be our best bet

Barbashev is expendable at this point, using him to boost a playoff run is worth it to me.
Barbashev is a cheap replacement for either Maroon or letestu next season.
Rangers deal is a lil tricky. They'd need to move on from Holden at the deadline too. Gunnarsson provides his replacement next year, and plays well with Shatty. Slowing then to spread out their Blue line at times.
Basically the Blues get better, deeper, more experience without losing the "big4". They also don't block the future

You watch the same bunch of dainty danglers as I do right? We don't have anyone to go to the hard places, do the dirty work. Im not trading for his skill. The playoffs are some hard games we could really use some grit. Guys like Stastny and steen provide our net front presencefrown

It's not worth selling him that low. I'd wait till he comes back healthy before we ever move on

I think Kostin could be that guy to go to the dirty areas. Besides, if we're going to trade for someone to do that why not go for a better version of Maroon like JVR or Simmonds? There's a reason why those guys cost more, but have long term success
