I like that you moved A. Shaw, Alzner and Schlemko. With your cap space you can go get the required UFA`s to do upgrades.

Both Rangers and Carolina say NO, Pacioretty doesn't get you Ryan McDonagh and really Schlemko+Alzner+2018 3rd round pick+2019 1st round pick for Jaccob Slavin not even close.

I disagree, McDonagh and Patches have a similar value and a similar contract + McDonagh is only a year younger than Pacioretty. I really think that this trade could benefit both teams.

The Slavin trade was a long shot though laugh

Also, both the NYR and MTL seem to be asking for a lot for these two players. This might just be the best return for both teams....

If MTL moves Pacioretty it will be for a younger asset. He's also our best shot at landing a 1C, so it will likely be a younger centre.

Yeah, that CAR trade is pretty bad...
