Both he was Detroit's 3rd leading scorer in history plus he's definitely one of the top 5 GM's in the league.

Tampa Bay has an extraordinary front office with a great group of guys working around the clock. They've created a special team that is destined to win soon. Yzerman hasn't been a GM for too long but if he keeps it up he'll be one of the greatest in no time.

Once he wins a cup as a gm we can have this debate. Right now it a player by a mile but his gm days are still early

If you created this team 3 years and suggested Hedman, Stamkos and Kucherov would be signed for under 22 million, everyone on here would 1 star your post and call you an idiot....so ya, I'd say Yzerman has done a great job as a GM!

But he's one of the best players of all time so I'd say Yzerman the player wins!

3 Years ago Kucherov was coming off his first season where he had 18 points in 52 games lol. On top of that, Hedman until that point was averaging 20pts a year and his oiSV% was dropping year after year. So 3 years ago I'm sure most would expect all those guys to be under $22 million

Oops! Good catch. Should have said....around the time you joined! When Kucherov and Stamkos were coming off back to back 60+ point seasons and Hedman wasn't Norris nominated yet but pretty damn good!
