I don't know anything about Gillies to know if this is a good deal or not. That being said, I'm inclined to believe Calgary would be willing to give up a better draft pick. Probably a 2nd rounder.

Gillies is a 24 year old AHLer Goalie Detroit doesn't need more Goalies Gilies+4 for Tomas Tatar Yeah no way this is horrendously bad for Detroit.
