Listen, as a Hawks fan you're pulling at my heartstings by offering Shaw. He is my absolute favorite. I'm even fully prepared to move on from Hartman. But as Hawks fan I also know we cant in good conscious take on 3.9M until 2022 for a player who can't score more than 20 goals. You would have to sweeten it more... if MON retained 1.9 or 1.4 salary I could stomach it or threw in a better sweetener (2nd, or Denault? haha) I would jump on that.

I would personally ask for Anisemov for Shaw... as MTL need a 2C

Stl trade is not good for the Habs... Getting another small LHD like Mete + a younger (less talent) LW for Galchy...
If you are trading Chucky... get a High Prospect big C like : Thompson NHL ready + Dunn or another prospect

MTL needs RHD and 1c and 2c. Also to shed some of the garbage on the d side. I don' think this addresses the needs enough. You got rid of 2 bad D men and shed some salary but we are stuck at C

Thank yourself for having allowed Bergevin to become our GM and make those terrible moves aha...but yea i would do that trade retaining 1m on Shaw's contract but maybe moving the pick back to the 4th round, 2.9m is not alot over what Hartman would sign at as RFA i think.
