Doesn’t work cap wise from PIT. You are over complicating it.

Sheary to a team in need of a scoring winger for a 2nd

That 2nd PLUS Gustavsson and PIT’s 1st for Brassard at 25% retention. Sens save about 3m in salary and it works cap wise for PIT.

I saw your trade and I liked it, I was just going off of what "Hedman4Norris" did for fun. Although, Dorion said today that he's aiming for the Sens to be in a playoff position next year. If that's the case, I think they would rather take Sheary + Gustavsson + the 1st rather than replacing Sheary with a 2nd. This gives them more depth on the LW, gets them younger/faster (what they are aiming for) and clears up space at centre for our prospects.

Whatever works. Sheary or the 2nd.

I was under the impression that OTT didn’t want to take back salary.

I mean I think I, along with most of the fanbase, would probably rather Sheary than a 2nd round pick. But I guess it depends on what Melnyk wants in terms of the bottom line lol
