If Lucic waives, I would definitely make that deal with Staal, Staal has less term, less money, less signing bonuses, way easier contract to buyout.

Yeah I don’t think Rangers make Staal deal. Unfortunately we’ll pray he gets concussed again and gets put on LTIR

just trading similar salaries and Oilers might need more room for McDavid and Draisaitl contracts, plus other free agents, it might be a bad deal on paper but I wouldn't rule them out of trading Lucic which is unfortunate
but based on his numbers: 55 games played, 9 goals 21 assists 61 PIM, for 6 million a year might be a trading option, since he will turning 30 in June. I am for Lucic as an Oiler and always enjoy watching the Oilers play, but they might have to trade some players to balance, reload for next season.

No way the Rangers even think about that Colorado deal, terrible. Same with trading Chytil, would never happen in a million years.
