That's two of our top prospects, a 1st, a young top-6 C, a middle pairing dman, and a middle-six winger that'll cost Melnyk $1.25M less than Ryan. Consider that Ryan and Lucic is biased pretty heavily in Ottawa's favour, that price should be reasonable for an unextended Karlsson.

Doubt Dorion gets that much for him. No way Nurse gets pried out of Edmonton. Karlsson has tremendous value, but Ryan has negative value. If they have to be packaged together, you're essentially trading Karlsson at discount to compensate for eating $7.25M of a useless right winger.

He wouldn't? All Canadian team not named Toronto are on his no trade list reportedly Karlsson wants to play in the States only American teams outside of Toronto were on his list.
