If this 3-Way Karlsson Rumor was true... thoughts?

Obviously not exact, but I think it does a good job showing what something like this would look like if it were to actually happen.

MTL Adds: Batherson, Howden, Ryan and his terrible contract
MTL Loses: Benn, McCarron, 2nd,

OTT Adds: Raddysh, Hajek/Foote, Benn, McCarron, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
OTT Loses: Karlsson, Ryan, Batherson

TB Adds: Karlsson (and probably a couple cups)
TB Loses: Howden, Raddysh, Hajek, 1st and 3rd

I see what you tried to do, but when you think about it if Ottawa retains that much on Bobby Ryan, they could easily trade him for asset, not as a cap dump... So for that the deals doesn't really make sense.. Habs get Howden, Ryan at a good contract, for basically nothing, while Ottawa gets pratically nothing from Karlsson and give Ryan with retained salary for free...

I had similar thoughts on the Ryan Contract, but really this was more about the premise and not so much about getting each detail perfect. Nonetheless, i think the 5M mark for this, and the next four years is still a terrible contract. If this year and last are any indication of what we can expect from him moving forward, your looking at a winger scoring less than 30pts, and injured for a quarter of the season for approx 5M (which is right on par with Gaborik)
