Travis Boyd is an older, yet promising NHL talent, and has the skill to be playing bottom 6 minutes in the NHL already. His ceiling would most likely be a 3rd line scorer, and 2nd powerplay guy, but don't expect him to play PK, he's more of an offensive player. Vanecek was a high 2nd rounder in 2014, and has been developing slowly, but surely in the AHL. I'd say he will turn into a decent backup, although you never really know with goalies, he could turn into an NHL starter or a fringe call-up guy. Boyd should be a long-term NHLer, and Vanecek is a bit more of a gamble with pretty good upside.

Boyd has 15 goals and 44 points in 56 games in Hershey. Vanacek had a 2.54 GAA last yr with a .909 save % and had a 2.75 GAA in the playoffs with a .910 save %. This season, he has a 2.85 GAA and an .893 save % but the Bears suck
