Rangers say no. Lucic might be the worst contract in the league. You're taking Staal back with any deal with Lucic.

Most likely looking like Kreider + Staal for Puljujarvi + Lucic + 1st + 2nd

Oilers are not getting rid of Lucic contract that easily.

Kreider is young enough to stay through the rebuild or retool in New York and won't want to take on Lucic' s brutal contract.

Don't get the Hammer trade for the Oilers considering he is a UFA shortly and has missed half the season so far this year

thats a joke right? Staal is far worse than the lucic deal. at least lucic is still a good player - hes far from the worst contract in the NHL

Good Player? Zero goals in 27 games on the McDavid line? Getting paid 6 mil a year for 2 years longer than the Staal deal? Jimmy Vesey is a 30 goal scorer on that line. It's worse than the Bobby Ryan contract.

yes lets judge the perennial 50pt player for his career by one 28 game stretch. you would make a fine GM.
