Both John Carlson and James Van Riemsdyke will be looking for closer to 7 year terms doubt either takes 5 and 4 years respectively.

of course it's all hypothetical. and I meant the team would just extend his contract before he hits free agency, not restructure the contract he's already on like you're doing.
