Description

I know everyone in the comment sections is just gonna say "no way he signs for 1 year". But look at it this way, if sweeney calls him and convinces him he might want to play for his hometown team because they would be legitimate cup contenders, any hometown boy would love to be apart of this. Not sure who the 3rd line centre would be but the young guns could compete for it at camp. Any thoughts???

I don't think he signs a one year. He has been playing for well under his worth and this is his chance to cash in. So why not offer him 6×6 or 7x6 and hand bergeron the c and wish chara good luck. If you want to keep big z I think the 2 x 5 is fair and if you sign carlson you can move krug.

Ur over the cap on a 23-man roster (that’s prob not good). If Boston convinced Carlson to come, y not sign him longer term at a hometown discount? (If they’ve convinced him that he wants to play there...)

he was born in Boston but moved to NJ and grew up a Devils fan as a kid. Don't think he has any real emotional attachment to the B's.
