John Carlson at 700,000 is too high, getting him at 300,000 would be better. Of course, he is a rookie that needs to get worked on so that's an ok price. Just a perennial 60 point defender nothing much.

Just a suggestion- I wouldn't go into the draft lottery thinking you'll win. Instead of Dahlin look at options like Boquist or Bouchard.

Kovalchuk wants to play in the New York Area, Nash is on record saying that he has no interest in playing in Canada. And i doubt Carlson has interest in Edmonton being an American and it sounds like he wants to stay in the east.

Expecting the Jackets to take on yet another LHD we don't need and would not put on the roster who's overpaid by a significant amount for a long enough time that he'd get in the way of resigning our entire core for just a 4th round pick hardly qualifies as "realistic".
