This would be really nice to see but I don’t know how much of Karlson’s value would be taken off by taking Bobby Ryan. But once we take Ryan I would buy him out.

Ignoring the actual trades for a moment, you'd still need to shed cap to make it work. It could probably fit under the cap by trading Zucc, moving Spooner to 3LW and Andersson to 3C. Then you would sign a cheap FA center, someone like Letestu maybe, or promote someone like Nieves or Lettieri. If a trade could be had to package Ryan ($ retained) and Zucc to a team like the Golden Knights that'd be decent. Could plug the hole with Nash or our top draft pick (if they're an NHL-ready winger).

Cap likely going up to 82mil next season. Wouldn't need to shed too much that is there.

I think they would wait until the CBA is restructured where they would most likely receive an amnesty buyout.
