Eichel

Chytill is not very good. He just isn't. Averaging 30pts / 82 over almost 200 NHL games.
It will cost Zibenijad +.
This is the biggest problem Buffalo will have. They can't deal Eichel for a rebuild, or they are setting themselves back 10 more years. Dahlin and Reinhart will be next and suddenly a long time for Cozens is two more years from now.</div></div>
Chytil is better than you think. Could step into a 2C role in BUF. .5ppg player this year and got no PP time

Trouba
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dca919</b></div><div>Way too low of an offer for Trouba to re-sign. Think 6-8 years and 8.0M - 9.5M depending on term. Why would Trouba agree to a sign-and-trade? Jets unlike the Sens will make the playoffs. Beyond that
negotiating a long term deal while a RFA means:
1)less teams can enter the bidding (due to needing assets plus cap room to negotiate vs simply cap room) which means less money
2)he doesn't get the benefit of a rising salary cap in the 20-21 season which means less money
3)he doesn't get the benefit of more teams having more money due to expiring contracts in June 2020 which again means less money
4)he doesn't have final say in where he goes...Jets management still does
5)he does Jets management a favor on his way out the door (after they played hardball and had him sit into the 2016 season, took him to arbitration in 2018, and are openly shopping him now).
I get why the Jets want a sign-and-trade deal...I just don't get why Trouba does? It's better for him to sign a 1 year offer sheet and get to UFA while taking out an insurance policy guarding against injury risk.</div></div>
nobody is going to trade for him if it isnt a sign and trade and he doesnt want to be in wpg anymore, thats why.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>Grabner had 25 goals and 31 points at the time of the TDL when he was moved as a Rental. He almost out produced Namestnikov on goals alone. You are talking 2 different things there. 25 goal scoring Rental does not set Namestnikov market of a 31 point 4m 3rd line player
Also Wilsons numbers were inflated bc he was on Nashville hahaha yes we all know Nashville as the offensive juggernaut that scores at will. For context, the year of Wilson on Nashville vs Rangers last season. The Preds had 13 more goals as last season Rangers. Wow such padded stats</div></div>
l=Look at Wilson's numbers after the trade lol. If you think Wilson is better/equal to Namestnikov, idk what league you're watching.
The Grabner thing was just the first thing that came to mind, not going to look up similar trades for an argument over a second round pick on cap friendly.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>Colin Wilson was traded for a 4th round pick....27 at the time put up 12g 23a 35pts. Namestnikov will be 27, just put up 11g 20a 31pt season. Namestnikov isnt going to fetch your 2nd or 3rd round pick as a 1 year 27 year old pending UFA next season when there are many many examples of players of that production and role being traded for mid round picks</div></div>
Grabner(worse than Namestnikov) was traded for a 2nd AND Yegor Rykov as a deadline rental. Colin Wilson's numbers were inflated playing on Nashville and Namestnikov's numbers were deflated playing on the Rangers.

An established 26 year old middle 6 NHL forward who can move up play with skilled players for the 46th overall pick. So overvalued!!!!

Hard to gauge what the ask would be for the best dman in the league. A historically rare trade with few other trades to compare with.

I think they would wait until the CBA is restructured where they would most likely receive an amnesty buyout.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>thelegend97</b></div><div>Ignoring the actual trades for a moment, you'd still need to shed cap to make it work. It could probably fit under the cap by trading Zucc, moving Spooner to 3LW and Andersson to 3C. Then you would sign a cheap FA center, someone like Letestu maybe, or promote someone like Nieves or Lettieri. If a trade could be had to package Ryan ($ retained) and Zucc to a team like the Golden Knights that'd be decent. Could plug the hole with Nash or our top draft pick (if they're an NHL-ready winger).</div></div>
Cap likely going up to 82mil next season. Wouldn't need to shed too much that is there.

You're right though Buch has played with Shesty as well, the key is getting his comfort level up immediately. The best thing for the NYRs is next season at the deadline, Hank removes his NMC/NTC and agrees to go to a contender. Then Shesty comes over 19-20 and (not saying he starts right away) gets some game experience and adapts to NHL play and ice surface. Get him working with Benoit Allaire and go from there. Maybe Georgiev or Halverson step up and become the NYR next frachise netminder, maybe even a darkhorse, but all I know is this team is headed in the right direction now. Draft well and spend well is all we can ask for as fans.</div></div>

Next Year-Full Rebuild
Yeah, I understand. It was more of a move to just show that he wouldn't be on the roster next year, but it's a full year of him not 20 games and a playoff run. Players tend to go for more at the draft and the longer he is on the team, the higher the chance he will re-sign there.

Dont think TBL moves Sergechev (but i'd take him!)
Still think Nash is going to end up in Nashville , 2018 first & Dante Fabro, can be gotten if DAL, NASH, SJ & WININ are bidding against each other. Can see returns from all 4 of those teams.
Nash & 50% retained.
DAL: 2018 1st & Denis Gurianov & Riley Tufte
NSH: 2018 1st & Dante Fabro (could make it a conditional pick, 2019 2nd that becomes 2018 1st IF NSH reaches WCF, to get Fabro)
SJ: 2018 1st & KEVIN LABANC & JOSHUA NORRIS
WIN: 2018 1st Jack Roslovic & LOGAN STANLEY</div></div>
I had Fabbro+first for Nash, then five minutes later Yost tweeted out that NSH was out on him.
