Yeah no.

As helpful and detailed your feedback already is, would you mind elaborating on your main point of "yeah no"?

JT gets way more than 8.5 mil, and why would he want to go to Carolina anyway? The franchise is a mess.
Hanifin gets more than 5 mil easily
It would take more to get Domi

Tampa is the only team i see John Tavares taking $8.5 million from, No way he signs that low in Carolina. Hanifin probably gets closer to $5.5 million per if not $6 million per here shortly.

All valid points, the franchise is a mess, and JT is worth more, as is Hanifin. Was trying to use the Slavin/Pesce deals as a guideline for Hanifin, and was hoping that a new coach (pleeeeease) would entice the team to be better, and that Skinner and Lindy would be the best linemates JT has had in a long time, if not ever.

FWIW Rask+2019 3rd isn't close enough for Max Domi, Rask value really isn't all that high.

Yeah, you're probably correct in that assessment. If Necas is ready, and the Canes go get a 1C, suddenly someone is the odd man out, and I figure it would be Rask. Sure we could get something for him, but maybe not that high of value.

The biggest thing I want see done this offseason is the new GM to come in and bring in an entire new coaching staff. That would go a long way IMHO.

Made some changes, let's see if this is more realistic (even though I know I'm dreaming with JT).

Don't change your trade because of a couple of critics. Domi for rask and a 3rd was it? You all forget Duclair was given away and a cheap young centre, with size, is worth more than a scoring winger that doesn't score.

This franchise isn't a mess, it just needs someone at the helm that isnt afraid to make the team better and an owner that will spend.

Well, it made sense, I think Domi will be a good winger for a while, and probably in Arizona. We'd also be selling low on Rask, but again with Necas and Tavares, he become expendable. I would love that trade for Domi, but not sure if I've overvalued Rask because I know what he CAN do as opposed to what hes done on a bad team this year.
