with NHL recapture clause penalties being a thing post 2012 NHL teams are less likely to go over 5 years to avoid a Mike Richards like Cap Hit as LAK got .
in this Era anything more hurts both parties and there is more profit to a JT in becoming a UFA again at 32 then at 34 its just common sense .
