    Isn't that Ottawa pick top 10 protected, and even if it isn't, they'd want more in return

    Top 10 protected from colorado now were protecting it again for washington, this trade is assuming ottawa has their pick and stays top 10 and Ill make the 2019 3 our 2nd instead how about that?

    In this case, Washington would have to receive the 2020 1st round pick, since Colorado would have the 2019 pick.

    But in terms of the trade itself, I like the idea of the Caps moving up for Zadina. However, I'd rather we simply trade Grubauer and get another first round pick if possible, and then bring in two more prospects. This is just because our system is very, very thin, so having two first round picks would be ideal.

    I dont think the ottawa deal happens without grub but rate?

    Agree. Caps need to trade up. Maybe Holtby to Vancouver and draft Zadina? Backstrom to Montreal if it’s within the top 6-8. Draft Quinton Hughes?
