Not sure Nashville wants to go get JT right now. They dont want him at 10+M per year jamming up their cap in year 5 or something.

If I'm the Avs I don't want RyJo on the team earning more than MacKinnon for the next several years, especially given that MacKinnon is a far more dynamic player. Also, if Nashville is having to shed salary to go after Tavares then why would Colorado give up so many assets to help facilitate this? Colorado doesn't need to do anything at this point in their life cycle. There will be far more beneficial moves they could make to get to the cap floor that do not involve losing Jost, Meloche, and a 1st. That trade really doesn't fit what Colorado or Nashville are trying to do right now unless the Preds intend to flip Jost, Meloche and the 1st for another high end asset. If so I get that for Nashville, but I still don't like it for Colorado.

Yak and Siemens won't be in the NHL next year imho.

Ry jo earned his contract, so what if mac is a bargain, that doesnt mean we cant have players paid more than him thats insane, this gets us past the cap floor for sure and leaves us with more than enough to extend mikko and for a player like ry jo this deal is more than fair value wise I dont care if this doesnt make complete sense this is all hypothetical yak and siemens are just placeholders but I believe they both have SOMETHING to offer on an nhl level
