Even as a biased Flames fan those deals are ridiculously one-sided...

Welcome to all you naysayers... not unexpected. The trades are certainly up for discussion. As a Flames fan I'm certainly more aware of our guys, and what I'm giving up. But here's the questions:

Both Montreal and Ottawa are in the toilet this season, even worse than the Flames and you read many places where Montreal is seriously looking for/needing a fast, mobile top-level defenseman to play with Weber, and we constantly hear the issues with Galchenyuk. We also hear Montreal was originally interested in Quebec-born Poirier (admittedly years ago...), so he's the throw-in, hoping for a rebound closer to home. So who do you think you are going to get on D and what do you think you'll have to pay for him? As for Ottawa, all during TDL and before we hear the Karlsson rumours but that nothing is happening unless a team also takes Bobby Ryan, who is on a disastrous, long-term contract. So, how are you going to dump Ryan, or is that even a thing?

I am certainly open for other trades, and suggestions. But please, how about you guys clear up my confusions(?) about your own needs first? As for the Flames, we have some excess solid D and I wouldn't mind moving Brouwer to make way for youth... Let me hear.
