Why would they do that? The leafs show no guarantee of going deep in the playoffs and that pick could be anywhere from 16-20, and then on top of that you give up Nylander, for a top 4 and a question mark

I'd be totally surprised if John Tavares came home to Toronto, For any thing less then $11-$12 million per.

I love Cap Friendly... if I would have traded him for Fowler or Lindholm you would be saying Nylander isn't worth that or at least someone would be. Also, even if the leafs get bounced in the first round, their position in the standings mean they would pick closer to 23-25th...
