Nice job, 9 picks in the 1st 2 rounds. It would be better if they were this year, but next year is fine as well.

Thoughts on the Karlsson deal? Really good prospect coming back but would other teams match or do better for one year of Karlsson?

Thank you for asking. If you review past trades for star players, it is usually a simple formula, A first, a good young roster player and a good but unproven prospect. On the other hand, when a team is trying to do a total rebuild the assets returned are often much less (see what assets PIT got back when the team was dismantled in 2003 after getting to round 3 in 2001). Bottom line, it is a little bit light (the second should be a young roster player) in a normal trade of a star, but then it seems to be more than TML got back for Phil Kessel in 2015. IDK if i helped you or not. The trading of top players is very tricky,

That sounds quite realistic, it's hard to judge seeing at it's arguably the best defender in the NHL here but I get what you're saying.
Tuch, Branstrom & 2019 1st rounder from VGK?
