Habs 2019

Created by: Mahleezer
Team: 2018-19 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 4, 2018
Published: Apr. 4, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Possibilities + a ton of luck to get a quick rebuild.
Say we win the lottery and draft Dahlin and say the rumours are true and Tavares does want to sign in Montreal, this is what can be a good way to balance out our lines and shave some years off the rebuild! Plus most of our wingers are versatile and can play up and down on the line-up and left or right on the wings so that is a plus!

  1. Nugent-Hopkins, Ryan
Additional Details:
Oilers need wingers and the Habs need Centers. They have a center to trade and the Habs have an elite winger to trade. The 3rd round pick is compensation for the fact Max is a UFA at the end of year. If Max resigns with the oilers the pick becomes a 2nd.

Offense looks good... Defense looks like crap again... Mete and Juulsen added in helps. They could still use another. Remove Alzner, Reilly and Benn.

You are serious? Terrible for Montreal? We are getting a younger player in a position of major need for an older player who is expendable.
Futhermore after this season RNH costs 6 mill whereas Max Pac will cost roughly 7 mill+

We get a good 2C who plays a good 2 way game albeit a little soft who'se age is smack dab in the age average of our core and balances out are lines and it costs us a player who will most probably not resign with us + a 2nd and you find it terrible?

I get that id Max wanted to stay it would be a different story but let's face it... he will be traded regardless of what happenes and he has his head already in Florida!

Agree to disagree I guess.

the terrible part is if Patch risigns with the oilers the 3rd pick the habs give become a 2nd, that don't make sense! why a gm will do this?
