I don't think JT will accept less than 11M/year to play right after Eichel and get way less ice time than it would get on any other team. On paper, Buffalo offense is fine to me. The real issue with buffalo is their goaltender and I don't think Cam Ward is the answer.

And how would you get the rights for Hanifin? He's clearly not moving from Carolina.

So to make our team better, you let CJ Smith walk for nothing, you start Malone over Baptiste and you play Mittelstadt on the wing.

I must've just overlooked CJ, i wouldnt of let him walk for nothing. my fault. And with the lineup, i wasn't really going too much in depth. But Malone could be a real solid bottom 6 forward. Wishful thinking he makes the lineup next year but a few years down the road he can be a real solid role player

As Hedman noted, it would've been a offer sheet. But this was before the lottery. Doubt they do something like this now. And to be honest, i dont think you can say anything on this team is fine. When your in the basement, everything has to be looked at. And Cam ward would've been a veteran back up for ullmark this season. They could probably keep Lehner and do the same thing but that ship may have sailed
