    Doubtful that JVR & Carlson would join the Canucks. Maybe if Boeser & Pettersson have elite tier seasons Free Agents will start seeking Vancouver.

    Ottawa trade doesn't make too much sense. If Ryan is considered a salary dump then there's no way Ottawa should be taking more salary back, which is what they'd be doing with Eriksson and Hutton. Definitely shouldn't be giving up a top 10 pick from 2016 and a second on top of that either. Those pieces would guarantee that Vancouver is getting the best player in the future. I'd also take a healthy Ryan over a healthy Eriksson any day. Even with the 1.25 mil per year difference on the contracts.

    Can't comment too much on the other ones but the Toronto one looks a little rough too. Hard to see the leafs trading a top prospect and a 1st for a middle pair dman and a project middle six forward.

    Ottawa is not giving up Logan Brown just to take on Eriksson for 6M.
