This is actually very possible move by the Flyers. adding Neal would be one of the smartest off-season moves that Hextall has made over the last couple of seasons. I see them re-signing Mrazek and letting either Elliott or Neuvirth go, I don't think Hart will be up next season unless he is the starter, they would want him in the AHL playing in every game possible.

why would MTL pay for someone we can claim of waivers ?
he's a mediocre back up goalie who's less consistent then Lindgren who we just re-signed and is a goalie who stole wins for us in a season Price,Niemi,and Montoya couldnt even say that .

now if you were paying us that would make more sense as we alreday invested in Lindgren we got Hawkey one of the NCAA's top goalies entering his senior year next season and needing a contract.
we got a Puck Moving Goalie a lot of people including Don Cherry compare to Price at his age and we got Primeau 1/2 NCAA Freshman to play 30 plus games as a full time starter and last i checked he was tied for 8th in the NCAA goalie rankings .

you can have Fucale though Gold Medal , Memorial Cup , QMJHL Title , Spengler Cup and Wasting away in MTL because we got better and no team behind him just constant call ups from the ECHL to AHL because they dont want him playing back up and want him skating but it left him a goalie for 2 teams with zero chemistry with either.

I was originally thinking about the idea of Perron, but I think VGK will bring him back despite his injury prone-ness. I also could see Mrazek signing, but Elliott and Neuv still have another year on their contracts so that is why I had the Neuv trade part of this roster. I really think Frost and Neal being on the roster next year would be great upgrades.

Ahhh I forgot about Fucale. I was looking at MTL's backup situation and know Niemi wasn't the greatest. I will give you that part. Neuvy is one of those goalies that can get hot and be fine, but is bugged with injuries.

Niemi's a Fan Favorite actually he had 2.46 and .929 save % in 19 games
Niemi played great but he didnt steal games for us just unlike Price he communicates AMAZINGLY with his D always talking to them
Price is dead focused never really talks during the play and with a new D core and his health issues that hurt him this year to the point fans on our Habs Facebook offical site
are saying trade Price sign Niemi and let him and Lindgren play Tandem .(our fans have been vile towards Price this year ,even went at his wife on social media to the point she had to make a statement )

Lindgren's got real Potential and is a star BUT he's never played 50+ games in his career as a goalie and his ability to play starter is called into questioning because he's not prepared to go the distance.
this is why him playing Price's Back up is the most ideal situation that being said we likely re-sign Niemi to a 1year and increase his value more before the trade deadline helping him get back onto a contending team and Niemi is to me like a Crawford , hard worker who shows up every game and plays hard but he'll never steal you a game or a series but he'll rally his Defense to push for a Win .

MTL is screwed depth wise in the goaltending area but not like most people who have no goaltending depth , we're screwed because we have to many pieces so Fucale gets his developments stunted , we lose Condon on Waivers for nothing ,Dubnyk walks because we couldnt play him due to you guessed is Goalies Log Jam and before that we lost Budaj who along with Condon , and Dubnyk beat Price in 2016 in Shutouts .

the one thing MTL never needs is goalies and
the one thing MTL needs to get rid of always is Goalies
