So we took Akil Thomas with WPGs 1st, Merkely with the CHI 2nd rounder, and Wise with our own 2nd? That would be pretty sick, but I don’t see Merkely falling all the way to 38th.

This is a trivial subject, but i really don’t see the point in trying to resign Jaskin. He’s had every opportunity to prove himself and had no production. His possession numbers are great, but he has no finish.

A lot of reports have him falling due to character concerns. I think we'd be a good place because we have tons of prospect depth already so we don't NEED him to work out.

We're not getting any offense from Jaskin but hes a solid 4th liner or 13th forward and it's not like we have to pay him much at all. Some guys just never figure out how to score in the NHL, but like you said he's a solid possession player and he keeps the puck away from our net. I don't see a reason not to keep him on 1 yr deals until he either gets outplayed and lost to waivers or becomes UFA and finds more opportunity elsewhere.

Ok... no one is giving up anything for Bergie and his brutal contract. Tavares isn't going to be a Blue unless they overpay him. Offensive players do not want to come to STL to play a defensive system.
