Bruh Habs can't offer a cup contending team to JT, the money is basically irrevelant........ Why do you think Stamkos stayed in Tampa for 8.5m??

Jeez man JT would take an offer from CHI hundred times before taking one from the Habs.

Hawks won't bring in Traveres, it's too rich for them over the next couple years without shedding major cap space like Seabs. Fair trade for Anisimov. Murphy trade is bad for Hawks unless it's just a cap dump. Pateryn is nothing more then a 3rd pairing and the Hawks have a log jam on the 3rd pairing D with Gus, Forsling, Oesterle, Rutta and up and coming Ian Mitchell, Blake Hillman, Jokiharju (which you didn't create space for), whoever they draft likely a D player....none of these players are top 3 roles (unless Jokiharju or a draftee like Bouchard pan out) and that's where the Hawks need the most help. Contract is too much for Hino, he will likely get a bridge deal between $1.25M and $1.75M. Duclair is too high, the guy hasn't shown a lot and he is injured, can't see his contract being higher then $1.5M give or take. Martinsen will also likely get a deal, the guy was great as a an agitator and won't cost beyond $900K. No way is Schmaltz on the 4th line and also don't think he should be a Center anymore with a horrible faceoff percentage. Kampf has the 4th line C on lock right now. Where is Sikura? Besides Traveres, the forwards lines just look bad.

Exactly. Montreal though would improve with Tavares on their roster, it certainly wouldn't make them a playoff team. They have a lot of problems that even Tavares couldn't fix.

I made a scenario on there with tavares and it is not actually as bad as you make it seem. i traded Seabrook, rutta, a 1st, 2nd, a prospect and retained 1.75m on seabrooks contract, i put hossa on LTIR, i traded murphy and s 5th for a 2nd and a 4th, i traded anisimov, 2018 1st, 2019 2nd, forsling and retained some of his contract for faulk, i put henri jokiharju on top 4, along with a defensive prospect the hawks are going to draft, then i signed JVR to a 5 year 6.5m per year contract and still had almost 3m in cap space to go with. that is also resigning vinny, wingels, etc on top of that. the hawks would have to trade schmaltz after next season but if we have tavares we wont need him.

The Habs would need to bring in more than just Tavares but Montreal has the pieces for Tavares and I bet u guys the Habs will make the playoffs next year with a healthy price and Weber
