Backstrom was probably playing hurt last night in game 5, and will probably do so again, even if he aggrivated whatever it is.

Carlson looked a bit groggy skating off the ice after that blindside hit to the head, but a minute later they got a smile out of him on the bench. I hope he's okay. He might be okay already. Trotz said they were evaluating him during the press conference. That's, like, five minutes after the buzzer. That doesn't mean it's anything serious, given the league has improved its concussion protocols.

I'm not betting Guentzel gets suspended because ratings, but maybe Carlson comes back.

Travis Boyd, Nate Walker, and Riley Barber all had about as many playoff points with Hershey last year as Christian Djoos. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see any of them step in and play well in a limited role in the NHL, if kids coming right out of college can do it. Of course, none of them has made a dent in the majors yet, so who knows.

I'm sure Trotz will make a good decision and RMNB will second-guess it.
